Banknotes in Collections Flag
« on: December 14, 2014, 11:17:20 PM »
So, I have finally had the chance to code something that will display whether you own a particular banknote when you view a banknote in the gallery.  Just under the ad bar, if one shows up, you will see a thumbnail of your banknote if you own that particular pick, or a filler image if you have not uploaded a scan to your collection.  Also, you will see other members who own that particular note.

You can check out an example here:

At this point I am not overly concerned with design details, as I am planning on overhauling the site to bootstrap, and making it HTML5 compatible.

What do you guys think?

@cortes

I am glad that you like this feature.  I think that it will be much better once we have more members that list their collections online.

As per my Canadian collection, the irony is that although I live in Canada most of the notes in my Canadian paper money collection (except for modern notes) have all been purchased from the United States via eBay.

Same story here - about half of my old Latvian notes comes from U.S. or Canada. Most of them still widely available locally, but often eBay prices are better then in local antique shops.
