Collectors Comment: Le Comore, ufficialmente Unione delle Comore, sono uno Stato insulare dell'Africa Orientale posto all'estremità settentrionale del Canale del Mozambico, nell'Oceano Indiano, tra il Madagascar e il Mozambico. La nazione è composta da tre isole vulcaniche: Grande Comore, Mohéli e Anjouan, mentre la vicina isola di Mayotte è reclamata dalle Comore ma ha rifiutato in diversi referendum l'indipendenza dalla Francia. Lo Stato fu denominato dal 1975 al 1978 Stato delle Comore e dal 1978 fino al 2000 Repubblica Federale Islamica delle Comore.

Collectors Comment: Said Mohamed Djohar (Mahajanga, 22 agosto 1918 – Moroni, 23 febbraio 2006) è stato un politico comoriano. È stato il Presidente delle Comore dal novembre 1989 al settembre 1995 e nuovamente dal gennaio al marzo 1996.
